Dragonfly Firenza 1000W Plancha BBQ Grill
Blending elegance with practicality, the Firenza 1000W boasts a convenient built-in log store. Keep your fuel dry and easily accessible as you cook up a storm!
Crafted from Nero black powder-coated steel, the Firenza's fire bowl and plinth base exhibit exceptional corrosion resistance. By removing the grill and solid oak ring and taking appropriate measures to shield the plancha plate, the Firenza can endure prolonged outdoor exposure without succumbing to weathering.
With its raised plancha plate, the Firenza's ingenious design promotes enhanced airflow around its perimeter, drawing combustion air directly beneath the plate to fuel the flames. The Firenza's plancha plate features an elliptical shape, providing a wider range of temperatures across its surface for enhanced cooking precision.The 10mm plancha plates are also precision-pressed with a subtle concave shape, aiding in directing surplus fats into the fire bowl.
Firenza Grill Accessories
- Grill: The Firenza's grill attachment provides enticing cooking possibilities. Grill delectable vegetables, toast fresh ciabatta, or flame-grill a succulent steak, capturing the unique flavours of live fire cooking!
- Solid Oak ring: The solid oak ring is an impressive addition that converts your Firenza into a communal dining area. Invite friends to gather around the fire, cooking, dining, and enjoying drinks together!
- Standard cover: cover for your Firenza grill.
- Large wooden ring cover: cover which also accomodates the wooden ring. Will protect the ring from occasional rainfall but it is recommended that you store the rings in a dry place after each use. Its not recommended to leave them outside overnight as changes in temperature and humidity can cause them damage.
Safety Information
It's strongly recommend that you consider regarding safety distances to buildings and vegetation before assembling the product and putting it to use. Please also be aware of local temporary fire bans during droughts. In cases where the Firenza is set up on a combustible surface such as decking, it's strongly suggested that you cover the surface with a noncombustible material (minimum 100cm wide). This will help to prevent embers from leaving marks on the surface or, in the worst case, causing a fire. All surfaces can become hot. Children and pets must be kept away at all times.

Bell offer a wide range of products across many home categories. For advice on delivery, please select from the below for more information.
BBQs, smokers and Pizza ovens are very heavy. We advise the following upon receipt of your goods.
BBQs and smokers will require assembly. We recommend doing this in-situ and with at least 2 persons available to assemble, lift and move the item.
Pizza ovens are much heavier. It is advised that you have a minimum of 4 people to lift and maneuver any full sized pizza ovens on to its stand or other suitable bespoke surface. We recommend that you take a picture of the interiors of the oven to capture the brick layout for future reference and then remove the bricks before attempting to move the oven. This is because the bricks are a substantial proportion of the weight of an oven. The bricks simply lift out and can be placed in position again once the oven is ready. In the case of pizza ovens with a stand the majority of models will require assembly of the stand.
All BBQs, smokers and pizza ovens will be delivered kerbside on a pallet or in a crate. It is the customers resposibilty to dispose of the crate or pallet.
All portable BBQs and accessories such as covers and tools will arrive via parcel courier except when purchased with a palletable item where any accessory will be packed with the palletised goods.
All stoves are delivered kerbisde on a pallet. This means the driver will not transport the stove into your house. However they may be able to wheel the pallet in to a suitable garage or outbuilding if access allows. Disposal of the pallet is the customers responibility. Bell recommend you have 2 persons available to move a small to medium stove and up to 4 persons for larger stoves.
Fires will be delivered on a pallet and the above advice regarding stoves applies, however there are a small percentage of smaller electric fires, such as dimplex electic fires, that will arrive by courier.
All accessories such as companion sets and flue pipe will arrive via parcel courier except when purchased with a palletable item where any accessory will be packed with the palletised goods.
Baths, toilets, mirror cabinets and other large or heavy items will arrive via pallet. This is a kerbside delivery meaning the item will not be transported into a property by the driver. However items can be positioned into a suitable garage or outbuilding should access allow.
All accessories such as shower baskets and taps will arrive via parcel courier except when purchased with a palletable item where any accessory will be packed with the palletised goods.
In order to provide the widest product offering at the right time of year, occasionally Bell's suppliers will dropship directly to you. In this instance where posible Bell will inform you of this. However please bear in mind that Bell have no control of the couriers used. Please be aware that in the case of large goods that are dropshipped directly, these will be kerbside deliveries and much of the advice in the above categories will remain valid.
Whilst 99.9% of deliveries go ahead without issue, Bell would like to highlight the following:
- Check the outside of the shipment before signing the transport document.
- If there is damage to the packaging, state this on the transport document and only then sign off.
- Take photos of the damage before opening the shipment.
- Open the shipment. In case of damage to the product, take additional photos.
- Report the damage immediately to online sales (click the link) remembering to add the pictures. Please do not send images exceeding 10mb in total. Send additional emails if necessary.
- If you are not receiving the goods yourself, in the case of neighbours or builders et al, please make them aware of the above.

Delivery Time-scales
Palletised goods will be shipped on a 2 working day service. Exeptions are Highlands and Islands where delivery may be 3-5 working days depending how remote your location is.
Many of our products are in stock at our warehouse but in order to provide the widest range of products at the right time of year some goods may need to be ordered from our suppliers; you can usually expect to receive your order in 7-10 working days but some bespoke products and out of stock items may take longer to arrive. If you have particular delivery requirements please call 01604 777504 to discuss them. As well as being able to fast-track some orders we are also able to keep orders on hold if you want to delay delivery until a more convenient time.
Please note: Your order will only be dispatched when all items included in the order are available. Delivery hours are between 10am and 5pm Monday to Friday. The carrier shall be relieved of its obligation to perform the contract to the extent that the performance is prevented by failure of the customer, fire, weather conditions, industrial dispute, labour disturbance or cause beyond the reasonable control of the carrier.
Click and Collect
For customers who are able to visit our showroom in Northampton we offer a free click and collect service. If you would prefer to collect your order please select "Click and Collect" at the checkout; collection and delivery options will appear after you input your billing address. Please DO NOT attempt to collect your order before you have received an email confirming your order is ready to collect.
When collecting please bear in mind the size and weight of your order compared to that of your vehicle and ensure you will have adequate space to safely transport the product. Our transport team will be able to help you load your vehicle at Bell but you will need sufficient man-power to unload it at home. The address for collection is:

A one year warranty applies to the material and construction of all steel elements of Firenza plancha BBQ grills. This warranty is void for damage resulting from the improper use of your Dragonfly product - see the disclaimers and exclusions below.
The Firenzas warranty is subject to the following disclaimers:
1. Protective Finishes
All Firenza models have a fire bowl made from Nero black powder-coated steel; the bases of all models except for the 1000CW are made from the same kind of coated steel. The coating applied provides a highly resistant layer of protection against corrosion. As a result, your Firenza can be left outside in all weathers so long as the plancha plate (which is not powder-coated) is regularly oiled and shielded from the elements with an appropriate cover. Care should be taken while setting up, moving, and using Firenza units to ensure that heavy impacts and sharp objects do not chip or scratch the protective coating of coated steel elements.
If you have purchased a Corten Firenza model (1000CW), the base will have already started to form a protective layer of oxides on its surface at point of delivery. This layer is formed as moisture induces corrosion across the surface of the steel. The chemical make-up of Corten steel ensures that this outer corroded material protects the remaining steel beneath from moisture and rust perforation. This layer also gradually forms the attractive patina aesthetic for which Corten steel is known. As with our powder-coated base's, Corten steel's protective outer layer allows the Firenza to remain outdoors in all-weather conditions, so long as the plancha plate (which is not made from Corten steel) is regularly oiled and shielded from the elements with an appropriate cover.
It takes approximately 6-12 months of exposure to the elements for a complete oxide layer to form across the surface of Corten steel. Unlike many manufacturers of Corten steel products, we provide buyers of our products with an additional service by making sure that the oxidation process has already started by the time our products are delivered. As a result, it should only take approximately 3-6 months from point of delivery for your Corten base's protective layer to finish forming. This estimated timescale may vary subject to local weather conditions.
While the protective layer on Corten steel is still in the process of forming, it may produce orange stains on skin and clothing. If it rains while this layer is developing, running water may wash residual oxides from Corten bases onto surfaces beneath the Firenza. Porous surfaces such as wood and concrete can be stained by this oxide run-off.
The protective layer of corrosion on Corten steel rarely chips, but it is more likely to chip in areas with high air salinity, such as seaside towns. Surface chipping will not result in any permanent damage to your product, but fallen chips of steel should be swept up to prevent stains forming on the surface surrounding your Firenza.
2. Take proper care of the plancha plate
Upon your Firenza's initial use, it is essential that the proper steps for preparation are followed as outlined in the user manual. These steps include maintaining a smaller fire during the initial 30 minutes of use - this allows the plancha plate to settle as it slowly expands. If this step is not followed, your plancha plate may warp or become convex, rather than remaining concave as it ought to.
The Firenza and all of its steel elements are designed to be left outside at all times. It is important, however, that a coat of cooking oil is re-applied to the plancha plate every 7-10 days while it is not in use; this oil coating will help to prevent corrosion. An appropriate rainproof cover must also be used when the Firenza is not in use to protect the plancha plate from the elements.
3. Solid oak rings
Firenza Plancha Barbecue Grills fit an optional solid oak ring. Although we do offer a larger cover to protect these rings from occasional rainfall, humid weather and changes in temperature may cause them to warp or crack; we therefore recommend that you store solid oak rings in a cool dry place after each use. We do not recommend leaving them outdoors overnight, as high levels of humidity and temperature change are more common throughout that time. Our solid oak rings are designed to be used as surfaces for dining and light food preparation - they are not designed to bear heavy loads (greater than 7.5kg). Overburdening the solid oak ring or leaning excessive body weight onto it can cause the ring, and the attached plancha plate, to tip from the fire bowl.
If sharp or heavy objects are used to exert force on these rings, they may become irreparably damaged.
4. Grills
The Firenza's attachable grill is designed to be stored indoors in a dry place. If not stored properly, the grill will become susceptible to rust corrosion. When you finish using your grill, you must wait for it to cool completely before taking it inside. Please be aware that the grill can remain hot for a long time after use, even long after the fire in your fire bowl is extinguished.
5. Adjustable feet
To complete the setup of your Firenza, the adjustable feet can be used to make it level. However, we do not recommend using these feet to adjust the overall height of your Firenza, as extending any of them by more than 10mm may cause the base to become unstable.
When moving a Firenza that has already been set up, it is important that the unit is lifted clear of the ground with sufficient assistance. Dragging or pushing the Firenza across the ground can cause damage both to the unit's adjustable feet and to the rivet nuts with which these feet are attached.
6. Using appropriate fuels
Your Firenza is designed for burning wood logs and charcoal, lit with firelighters in compliance with both EN 1860-3 and BS 7952:2001. Using other fuels or firelighters may damage your Firenza unit and/or result in residues which are harmful when ingested. To avoid damage to your unit and any health complications, only the appropriate fuels listed should be used.
Spirits, alcohol, and petrol are not appropriate for use as fuels or lighting agents in the Firenza.
7. Do not leave your Firenza unattended
Note that all surfaces of the Firenza - particularly the plancha plate and fire bowl - become extremely hot during operation and can cause serious injury and burns if touched. Please take additional care in the presence of children, pets, and the elderly or infirm. Please also ensure that the area around your Firenza unit is always clear of any highly flammable substances or materials.
