Heritage
Founded in 1895 Jakob Zehnder sets up a workshop for a range of items including washing machines, bicycles and sewing machines in Gränichen, Switzerland. In 1930 Robert Zehnder invents the tubular radiator (Zehnder Charleston). In contrast to the cast radiators used in those times, the Zehnder tubular radiator was a lot lighter, had better heat conductivity, was much more cost-effective to manufacture and had a more attractive appearance. Moving forward with the times, Zehnder starts exporting their tubular radiators in Germany and having such success means a Germany subsidiary is opened in 1964. Moving into the 21st century, Zehnder are continuously developing new and successful products and the list of their innovations is becoming ever longer.
