In 1950, already three years before the actual founding of the company, named for the famous Koh-i-noor diamond, the first pieces of furniture take shape in an old newspaper stand in the village of Schney. 10 Years later with a further 60 employees and the advent of the conveyor belt, Koinor begin to create some bestselling TV chairs. Such was the popularity of this new line, the Koinor production facility was expanded several times to meet the increasing demand. The 70's brought about the first leather upholstered furniture for Koinor and was lauded by the Netherlands and Germany; and such was the quality of the furniture, Koinor quickly became renowned as one of the first leather specialists in the furniture sector.
In 1992 the company founder Horst Müller retires but not before selling the company to the executives at Koinor to ensure his vision continued. Michael Schulz and Gerd Bissinger restructure the company and ground is broken for the large logistics centre and a final production expansion. The company has gone from strength to strength providing the Europe with some innovative and succesful furniture ranges and Koinor will strive, and succeed to exceed your expectations.
