This Project
For this project, the brief was to create a fully functional outdoor
kitchen in a particularly compact area positioned behind the garage. The space
was already framed by pergolas, which defined the setting and added to the
design considerations, but also offered a great opportunity to create a
dedicated cooking and entertaining zone.
From the outset, the customer was clear about their vision — they didn’t
just want a grill, they wanted a complete outdoor kitchen experience that would
allow them to prepare, cook, and enjoy meals outdoors with ease. A high-quality
gas grill was a priority for versatile barbecuing, while the addition of a
plancha gave them the flexibility to cook everything from delicate seafood to
hearty breakfasts. To make the space entirely self-sufficient, an outdoor
fridge was also requested, ensuring chilled drinks and fresh ingredients are
always close at hand.
The final design brings these elements together, also factoring in a
Gozney Pizza Oven which the client already had, in a cohesive layout that works
perfectly within the limited footprint, while still feeling open and welcoming.
Every detail was considered to maximise practicality without compromising on
style, resulting in a kitchen that feels both efficient and indulgent. The
combination of the gas grill, plancha, and fridge has created a true focal
point for the garden — a space where cooking, dining, and relaxing all come
together seamlessly.
