This project
This media wall has been carefully designed to create a striking focal point within the living room while remaining sympathetic to the client’s existing interior. The colour palette has been selected to complement the dark grey tiled flooring, ensuring the installation feels cohesive and integrated rather than appearing as a standalone addition to the space.
At the centre of the design sits a contemporary electric fire, positioned beneath the television to create a balanced and inviting focal point. While the clients were keen to incorporate useful storage beneath the fire, they also wanted to avoid a design that felt overly heavy. To achieve this, the cabinetry layout combines practicality with visual balance.
Generous deep drawers are positioned at either end of the unit, providing easy access to everyday storage, while pocket cupboards have been incorporated centrally beneath the fire. These pocket doors allow the cupboards to be opened and neatly concealed within the cabinet when in use, keeping the overall look clean and uncluttered.
Above the main cabinetry, a series of open display shelves will be installed, complete with integrated feature lighting. These shelves have been specifically designed to showcase several of the clients’ antique pieces, which are an important part of the room’s character. Rather than using mirrored back panels throughout, a more selective approach will be taken so that certain areas highlight the pieces themselves without unnecessary reflection.
Overall, the design focuses on refined detailing, practical storage, and thoughtful display, creating a bespoke feature that enhances both the functionality and character of the living space.

Customer Testimonial
“We couldn’t be happier with the work Bell’s Home and Lifestyle of Northampton did for us.
They built a bespoke media wall for our TV, complete with an electric fireplace, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish.
We had actually been looking around at different suppliers for nearly two years before making a decision, and Bell stood out not only in terms of design and professionalism, but also value for money. For the quality of workmanship and service we received, it was absolutely worth it.
Because it was a custom build, they provided multiple design revisions to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it — nothing
was too much trouble. The quality of the build and installation was outstanding, and they worked efficiently while paying attention to every detail. They also left everything spotless and tidy once the job was complete, which we really appreciated.
A few weeks later, when the electrics stopped working, they came back out promptly to take a look. Even though the issue wasn’t related to their installation, they still fixed it for us without hesitation.
That level of service and aftercare really speaks volumes.
Highly recommend — professional, reliable, great value, and genuinely committed to customer satisfaction.”
