This project
Designed as the centrepiece of a self-build family home, this kitchen was created to deliver both lasting quality and real visual impact. The brief called for a space that would feel distinctive yet timeless, something that would stand out while remaining practical for everyday life.
We achieved this through the use of the Nicholas Bell Stroma Ash painted door, hand-finished in Benjamin Moore Tarrytown Green. This rich, confident tone brings depth and character, while details such as the moulded plinth, Hendle & Hendle Hampton cup handles, and Lancaster Oak carcases with dovetail drawers reinforce the craftsmanship and quality throughout.
At the heart of the design is a striking island, finished in 30mm Planet Neptune quartz, elevated with a 50mm ogee edge detail to create a more substantial, furniture-like presence. This feature not only enhances the sense of luxury but also anchors the space visually. Integrated within the island is bespoke corner banquette seating, carefully positioned to allow the family to gather comfortably while enjoying views out to the garden — an important part of the original brief.
Performance matches the aesthetics, with Neff N90 Flex Design appliances seamlessly incorporated to provide cutting-edge functionality without disrupting the clean lines of the design.
The result is a kitchen that feels both bold and considered, a standout space that reflects the ambition of the home, while offering warmth, comfort and durability for years to come.
