This stunning project perfectly captures the essence of a traditional country kitchen while introducing bold personality and modern functionality. The client desired a warm, character-filled space with a distinct wow factor, placing high importance on both storage and individuality.

At the heart of the kitchen is a large bespoke island offering generous preparation space, seating for the family, and ample storage. A custom-built corner pantry maximises storage in a practical yet stylish way. With unusually low window sills, all cabinetry was specially made to measure, ensuring a seamless fit that didn’t compromise design.

The cabinetry is Nicholas Bell’s Conival Ash, hand-painted in Benjamin Moore’s rich ‘Blue Suede Shoes’, adding vibrancy and depth to the room. This bold colour choice, reflective of the customer’s love for bright hues and playful patterns, was carefully balanced throughout the design to create a space that feels both lively and harmonious.

The work surfaces are topped in elegant 20mm Caesarstone Quartz ‘Layalite’, offering a durable and light-reflecting contrast to the deep blue cabinetry. The Axix Uno Gold Brass sink is seamlessly clad in matching quartz, paired with a Sandon 1.5 inset ceramic sink for added versatility. Two statement taps in brushed brass—the Clearwater Kira C Pull Out Tap and Jovian C Single Lever Tap—complete the setup with functional flair.

Appliances throughout are premium Neff, chosen for their performance and sleek integration into the design.

Dining is equally stylish with a combination of KFF Youma Casual Chairs upholstered in Belo Leather ‘Off White’ surrounding the elegant Asco Gaia Table, finished in natural oil ‘Blanco Oiled’, creating a warm and inviting hub for family meals.

The utility room echoes the same bespoke attention to detail, with individual laundry basket storage for each family member, a built-in bench seating area, and a generously sized dog wash station—complete with a pull-out tap to make bath time a breeze for Oakley, the beloved family dog. Clever use of space included shallow, wall-integrated storage where an old set of sliding doors once stood—perfect for everyday essentials.

This project is a true reflection of the homeowners’ bold vision, brought to life through thoughtful design, tailored craftsmanship, and refined material choices. The result is a home that feels both timeless and utterly unique.
