This media wall project was designed to create a striking yet balanced feature within the client’s living room, one that delivers both style and practicality without overwhelming the space. From the outset, the client was clear that they didn’t want the media wall to stretch across the full width of the wall, as they wished to retain their existing chairs on either side. This shaped the proportions and overall structure of the design, ensuring the finished piece felt integrated but not dominant within the room.

The layout combines a TV and electric fire in a clean, central composition, with a dedicated sound bar positioned directly beneath the TV for a streamlined look and enhanced audio performance. The surrounding cupboards, shelving, and drawers provide a balanced mix of dis lay and hidden storage, maintaining both functionality and style.

A particularly specific and unique request was to include three slightly wider drawers at the base, rather than the more conventional four. This was a thoughtful adjustment to allow three neat stacks of vinyl records in each drawer, offering a practical yet bespoke storage solution that reflected the client’s passion for music.

The finishes were carefully chosen to harmonise with the existing décor, en uring the new feature blends seamlessly into the living space. The result is a beautifully balanced media wall that combines warmth, technology, and individuality, perfectly tailored to the client’s lifestyle and layout preferences.

We recently worked with Bell of Northampton, and I can honestly say the experience has been fantastic from start to finish.

I’d always heard amazing things about Bell – they have such a strong reputation across Northamptonshire for quality and craftsmanship – so when we were ready to take on our project, we knew exactly where to go.

From our very first visit, everyone at Bell made us feel that nothing was impossible. We came in with a rough sketch and a list of ideas, and because everything they do is bespoke, every single suggestion we had was considered. We even had an at-home survey with the product maker, who offered expert advice and recommendations based on experience — it really felt like a collaboration.

The installation team, led by Jason, was brilliant. He was professional, responsive, and had such a great eye for detail. The quality of the work truly speaks for itself.

Our new media wall has completely transformed our living space — it’s now the heart of our home. It’s become a cozy, family-focused area where we can all relax and enjoy the darker nights with the lovely ambiance it creates.

We’re absolutely delighted with the result and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bell to family and friends. In fact, we’re already planning a return visit soon — this time for the new kitchen tap we originally went in for!
