Together we recently completed a stunning project in the village of Orlingbury where structure and expert craftmanship was brought together to create an outdoor space filled with enduring character and effortless sophistication.

More than just a garden
The customer was keen to create a cohesive outdoor space that would fit in naturally with its existing surroundings.
To achieve that, RAW Landscaping brought structure, softness and luxury to the garden, using beautifully considered materials and expert craftsmanship to create an outdoor space full of character and effortless sophistication.
From the outset, their involvement was instrumental in shaping an outdoor setting that felt every bit as considered as the property itself – elegant, assured and entirely at home within its surroundings. The RAW team developed a landscape scheme that draws the eye effortlessly from house to garden, creating a natural sense of flow and cohesion.
The result? A beautiful outdoor environment that enhances the property’s character.
Thoughtful and purposeful design
Central to the success of the scheme was the thoughtful use of premium materials and attention to detail. Sawn York stone paving was selected to unify the spaces surrounding the house and garden, offering the timeless beauty of natural stone. Ironstone retaining walls and structural features complemented the character of the house.
Elsewhere, clay pavers were incorporated as a rich decorative accent, with herringbone sections incorporated – including at the bandstand – alongside carefully defined borders which added texture.
Beside the gazebo, a Millboard composite decking area, curved to match the rounding of the gazebo, extends the entertaining space with a practical yet beautiful finish. Yew hedging frames pathways while traditional plants such as roses and lavender that already featured in the garden, were incorporated throughout.
A seamless extension of home and garden
As part of this remarkable garden transformation, Bell’s experienced team installed a 4.6-metre wide outdoor kitchen would feel at home within its current surroundings, while offering outstanding performance for outdoor cooking and entertaining.
The client was already passionate about barbecuing and wanted a kitchen centred around charcoal and wood-fired cooking rather than a standard gas-led set-up. With that in mind, we helped create a bespoke arrangement that incorporated the client’s existing cooking appliances, while also introducing carefully selected new products to elevate the overall scheme.
The outdoor kitchen featured EO outdoor kitchen cabinetry, chosen for its durability and suitability for year-round outdoor use, alongside a Dekton worktop for a hard-wearing, premium finish. Bull outdoor fridges were also installed, ensuring food and drinks could be kept perfectly chilled close to the cooking area, while a Gozney pizza oven added another layer of versatility to the space.
It’s all in the detail
Throughout the 12-week project every detail, from the hand-cut curved paving to the seamless transitions between zones in the landscaped garden, to the layout, usability, power requirements and how the kitchen would sit within the wider landscaped design, was considered.
The result? A garden that is polished and purposeful, alongside a large, beautiful outdoor cooking and entertaining area featuring island seating, perfectly designed for both practical and social use. The finished kitchen not only complements the property and garden beautifully but also gives the client a highly functional outdoor space that has already been met with extremely positive feedback.
