Dutch Craftsmanship

As the worlds trends return to the basics of hand-crafted workmanship, Witloft brings you handmade leather aprons. Whether you are one for the woodshed, master of the BBQ or culinary virtuoso of the house; a barista in the making or just like to get your hands a little dirty; Wifloft aprons are extraordinarily durable, robust and magnificent to behold and are for anyone who professionally or at home has a passion for hand-crafted and the artisan style.

The aprons are adjustable around the neck loop and with the waist tie.

The Method

The authentic Witloft aprons are made of high quality vegetable tanned saddle leather; Flexible yet very hardy. The leather used is of Dutch origin and the aprons are made by hand - giving each apron a unique look. As the leather lives and breathes, the aprons develop a rustic patina with time and wear.

The Witloft Story

Two years ago, Witloft started in a little garden shed in Amsterdam. It s a very clich story, but the founder, Frank, came up with Witloft because he needed an apron and thought that the already existing aprons could be so much better. At that time he followed a workshop about making furniture and wore an apron to protect my clothes and himself. As soon as he put on the apron he got into this 'work mode'. Frank felt motivation and passion and thought, this apron can be so much better, more beautiful and more functional. It was in that moment, Frank started designing, fine-tuning and producing the Witloft brand. Frank made the first Witloft apron out of a rough piece of leather, which was great for personal use. Now, however, Witloft artisans hand-craft the exquisite leather aprons now available to purchase.

Leather Apron Care

Following these guides and tips will ensure your apron remain at its most pristine for the longest time.
  • DO NOT use abrasive or harsh chemical cleaners - This will scratch the leather and possibly taint or remove the tanning/colour
  • Remove heavy soiling sooner rather than later - Avoiding a build-up of dirt and other matter will maintain the finish for longer
  • New leather is naturally a little stiff - Wearing it and using it often will soon have the leather more supple and pliant
  • With use and wear, your apron will inevitably collect its share of scratches and marks - Using thin layers of leather use waxes on heavy scratches with help prevent deterioration

Delivery Information

Items/carts over £250 are free shipping across mainland UK (Not including N. Ireland). Scottish Highlands postcodes KW, AB, PH, PW, IV and HS and islands (Man, Wight, Orkneys etc.) may be subject to a delivery surcharge. A delivery cost, where applicable, is calculated at the checkout based on your location and size/weight of the product. Bell use specialised courier networks CSM for smaller parcels and PALL-EX for heavy/large palletised goods such as fires and baths.

Please ensure that the access available to your property is suitable. Do not forget to consider the following factors that may prevent us from completing a standard delivery: parking restrictions; delivery vehicle size restrictions; restricted access into property due to the size of the ground floor entrance; restricted access within the property to the intended delivery location. Such factors may require alternative delivery methods for which, in most cases, there is an additional charge. You are able to make mention of any specifics regarding delivery in the customer comments section during checkout.

For larger, palletised items the delivery service is kerbside only. Please make sure you have made adequate arrangements to receive the product. The delivery person may be able to leave your product in a garage or garden if access allows. A signature will be required on receipt of goods, if this can not be obtained then this will result in a failed delivery and an additional charge will be applied for a re-delivery. Delivery Time-scales

Most of our orders are dispatched from our Northampton warehouse but some items are delivered directly by the manufacturer; either way you will be contacted directly by a member of our team or of the manufacturer to arrange a convenient delivery date (applicable to large and/or palletised items).

Many of our products are in stock at our warehouse but some need to be ordered from our suppliers; you can usually expect to receive your order in 7-10 working days but some bespoke products and out of stock items may take longer to arrive. If you have particular delivery requirements please call 01604 777504 to discuss them. As well as being able to fast-track some orders we are also able to keep orders on hold if you want to delay delivery until a more convenient time.

Please note: Your order will only be dispatched when all items included in the order are available. Delivery hours are between 10am and 5pm Monday to Friday. The carrier shall be relieved of its obligation to perform the contract to the extent that the performance is prevented by failure of the customer, fire, weather conditions, industrial dispute, labour disturbance or cause beyond the reasonable control of the carrier.

Click and Collect

For customers who are able to visit our showroom in Northampton we offer a free collection service. If you would prefer to collect your order please select “Click and Collect" at the checkout; collection and delivery options will appear after you input your billing address. Once your order has been placed we will process it and place any necessary purchase orders with our suppliers. If the items are already in stock you will be contacted to inform you that your order is ready to collect. If they are out of stock we will place an order with our supplier and notify you as soon as it comes in to our warehouse.

When collecting please bear in mind the size and weight of your order compared to that of your vehicle and ensure you will have adequate space to safely transport the product. Our transport team will be able to help you load your vehicle at Bell but you will need sufficient man-power to unload it at home. The address for collection is:

We hope that you are delighted with your purchase from Bell. However, if you would like to return any items or your purchase is unsuitable* , we are happy to provide a refund or exchange assuming that the goods are in a perfect and saleable condition with original product packaging and instructions where appropriate. If the goods do not reach us in a perfect and saleable condition, and in their original packaging, then your right to a full refund may be affected. To receive a refund you must return the goods to us within 28 days of delivery.

In order to arrange a refund, return or exchange, please call 01604 777504 or e mail onlinesales@abell.co.uk. Goods can be returned to our store for a refund, exchange or credit (for use in-store only). You will need to show your order confirmation as proof of purchase. Goods can also be returned directly to our warehouse with your packing slip to the address below:

If returning by post, the parcel and its contents are your responsibility until they are received at our warehouse. The cost of returning the goods is at your expense. This does not affect your statutory rights. We recommend using a registered postal service and retaining the proof of postage as we may require signed proof of delivery. Bell is not responsible for returned goods being lost or damaged in transit. If you require Bell to arrange a collection then a charge will be incurred for each consignment. The charge will be deducted from the refund amount when processed. Please contact our online sales department on 01604 777504 should you require this collection service.

*Restrictions – we are unable to offer a refund or exchange on, food items, toiletries, cosmetics and bespoke items.

Damaged / Faulty / Missing Goods:

Please check your purchase as soon as it is delivered and, in the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged, please email onlinesales@abell.co.uk or call 01604 777504 immediately. We will then arrange collection of the goods and organise a replacement to be sent out to you at the earliest opportunity. Customers must notify the Company within 3 days of any damage, defect, shortage or discrepancy between the goods ordered and the goods delivered. We can not guarantee to replace or repair items which have been signed for in good condition or ‘unchecked’ and are later found to be damaged.
