After entertaining a large group of guests at his daughter’s birthday party, Mike Lingwood, Outdoor Chefs founder, became very disappointed at the amount of food that was wasted due to being burnt by the uncontrollable flare ups on his current gas barbecue. The real breakthrough came when he stumbled across an old washing machine drum. He removed the concial centre part and inserted it into the kettle as a funnel, this completely covered the burner and prevented flare ups. After several months of development work, he finally come up with the unique Outdoor Chef funnel system!
