Bell’s Claim to Flame

By February 14, 2020Fires & Stoves

Hot right now: check out our wide range of fantastic fires and stoves

Storm Ciara has certainly made its presence felt over the last few days and, after a relatively mild winter so far, the UK is forecast to see plenty of snow, ice and high winds in February. There is even talk that a second storm, Storm Dennis, will bring more high winds and floods this weekend so stay safe everyone.

When strong winds are howling, and rain and snow are falling, nothing beats hibernating at home by a warm fire.

Our range of fires and stoves at Bell of Northampton have never been as varied and contemporary as they are now.

Our fire and stove showroom displays are really grabbing attention and receiving some ‘glowing’ feedback at the moment.

We have the showroom-stopping Evonic Halo fire that is the first fire to be linked to Amazon’s Alexa, meaning it can be controlled through voice technology. This next generation, electric fire comes with seven pre-loaded flame effects and additional ones can be purchased and downloaded through an app on your smartphone, which also controls the fire’s settings.

As well as looking incredible (check it out in our showroom), the fire is also relatively cheap to run, typically costing 30 pence an hour to generate heat of 1.5KW. The fire can also be installed in any home as there is no need for a flue or chimney. In fact, our talented team have been installing these in homes using plasterboard to create bespoke installations that also incorporate spaces for Sonos playbars and other smart home or audio/visual equipment. This fire really does have to be seen to be believed, so pop in for a demo and see just what it can do!

Our Hygge-inspired display of Rais wood burning stoves is also attracting attention from customers with its shades of brown and black that exude luxury and warmth. These quality, Ecodesign stoves combine a contemporary and modern look with the sounds and smells of a traditional log burner.

Made by the Danish brand Rais, these stoves are the epitome of Hygge (a Danish and Norwegian word for a mood of coziness and comfort with feelings of wellness and contentment) and range in cost from £1,500 to £7,000. They also exhibit an incredible attention to detail. For example, you can customise your handle material so that it matches other Rais accessories, such as log baskets and fire tool sets.

Another brand we are proud to display in the showroom is Charnwood. Set against a green backdrop, our Charnwood display showcases the British brand’s eco wood-burning stoves.

While these stoves may appear more traditional in their overall look, they are hyper-efficient and multi-fuel, burning in a cleaner, more environmentally-friendly way. All the Charnwood stoves in our range are DEFRA approved, which means they are suitable for use in smoke-controlled areas. Some even come in a range of different colours to match your décor.

Winter officially ends on Friday 20th March, so we still have some way to go. Make sure you stay warm, safe and snug in style. Pop into our showroom on Kingsthorpe Road and see our wonderful displays and ask our team for a demo.
