What does DEFRA Approved meanA DEFRA Approved stove is a stove that you are able to install within a smoke controlled area of the United Kingdom.
SafetyPlease be aware that all stoves, supplied online and in store, when lit are hot to touch and will burn. Please take care with your fire and use always ensure a fire guard is used with children. When opening any stove door and adding logs it is also advised that a set of fire proof gloves are recommended.
Shutting down your fireTo shut down your stove is an controlled and safe manner, Bell advise that you close the air feed, which in turn will starve the fire of oxygen resulting in the extinguishing of the fire.
Bell offer a wide range of products across many home categories. For advice on delivery, please select from the below for more information.
BBQs, smokers and Pizza ovens are very heavy. We advise the following upon receipt of your goods.
BBQs and smokers will require assembly. We recommend doing this in-situ and with at least 2 persons available to assemble, lift and move the item.
Pizza ovens are much heavier. It is advised that you have a minimum of 4 people to lift and maneuver any full sized pizza ovens on to its stand or other suitable bespoke surface. We recommend that you take a picture of the interiors of the oven to capture the brick layout for future reference and then remove the bricks before attempting to move the oven. This is because the bricks are a substantial proportion of the weight of an oven. The bricks simply lift out and can be placed in position again once the oven is ready. In the case of pizza ovens with a stand the majority of models will require assembly of the stand.
All BBQs, smokers and pizza ovens will be delivered kerbside on a pallet or in a crate. It is the customers resposibilty to dispose of the crate or pallet.
All portable BBQs and accessories such as covers and tools will arrive via parcel courier except when purchased with a palletable item where any accessory will be packed with the palletised goods.
All stoves are delivered kerbisde on a pallet. This means the driver will not transport the stove into your house. However they may be able to wheel the pallet in to a suitable garage or outbuilding if access allows. Disposal of the pallet is the customers responibility. Bell recommend 2 persons to move a small to medium stove and up to 4 persons for larger stoves.
Fires will be delivered on a pallet and the above advice regarding stoves applies, however there are a small percentage of smaller electric fires, such as dimplex electic fires, that will arrive by courier.
All accessories such as companion sets and flue pipe will arrive via parcel courier except when purchased with a palletable item where any accessory will be packed with the palletised goods.
Baths, toilets, mirror cabinets and other large or heavy items will arrive via pallet. This is a kerbside delivery meaning the item will not be transported into a property by the driver. However items can be positioned into a suitable garage or outbuilding should access allow.
All accessories such as shower baskets and taps will arrive via parcel courier except when purchased with a palletable item where any accessory will be packed with the palletised goods.

ACR 10 Year Warranty Information
The 10 year warranty covers all stove castings but it does not include consumable items such as glass, grates, bricks and door seals.
The stove will need to be maintained and operated as per the instruction manual. The warranty will become invalid if the stove is not maintained. The stove will not be covered by warranty if it has not been installed correctly, the wrong fuel has been used on the stove e.g unseasoned wood, treated wood or solid fuel with a higher pet coke content than 20% (please ask ACR or Bell for their recommendations if in any doubt), non-genuine ACR spare parts have been fitted to the appliance, if modifications have been made to the stove, if the stove has been over-fired, if the stove has been damaged by fire (e.g chimney fire), corrosion or if the serial number / data plate has been removed from the stove.
The warranty commences from the date that the stove was purchased.
The warranty does not apply to appliances which have been purchased as ex working displays.
The stove warranty does not cover the installation or the flue system the stove is attached to.
The flue must be swept at least once a year and the stove must be serviced & maintained annually by a suitably qualified engineer such as HETAS or another competence scheme as a condition of the warranty and receipts for each annual sweep and annual service must be able to be provided as evidence.
The warranty does not cover faults or damage caused by atmospheric or local conditions such as salt air, excessive flue draught, down draught etc. It does not cover damage or defects caused by incorrect storage of the appliance e.g being stored in a damp, unheated environment.
The paint finishes may require re-painting periodically which is considered part of the maintenance of the stove and therefore the paint finish is not covered by the warranty. It is important that the paint work is kept in good condition as failure to do this could lead to corrosion. Enamelled components are not covered where these parts have been overfired which would lead to chipping, bubbling, cracking or crazing of the enamel.
The warranty does not cover any removal costs or re-installation costs. In the event of a warranty claim. ACR will despatch the required replacement parts necessary. ACR reserve the right to either replace the goods or refund the purchase price of the goods. The total liability, except where there is a prohibited limitation by statute, extends to the purchase price of the goods only.
The warranty is not transferable. It relates to the original installation only and to the original purchaser. Please retain your dated sales receipt as proof of purchase. Your statutory rights are not effected by this warranty.
